As the sun rises over the Wickford Cove horizon this Saturday morning, locals—and RIHI– will be preparing in earnest for the New England Quahog Festival. The RIHI Remote team will be in attendance, and would therefore like to invite you to come down and help us usher in the summer. The sleepy seaside village of Wickford hosts this gala June 25th, and the fun is sure to last into the evening. From the Sea Creature Parade to the music and food which will awash the coast, this year’s festival will get you ready for all things summer. So, grab some of the best seafood around and stop by the RIHI booth for some information on Owens Corning roofing shingles. The RIHI/ Owens Corning relationship offers you the coupling of amazing craftsmanship with expert workmanship.
Keep in mind that the Quahog Festival is free; however, there is a $5 charge to enter the Beer Garden. I highly recommend coming prepared with that five-dollar bill, as it is so important to stay hydrated while spending time outside during the summer. The festivities begin at 10am, but you’re going to want to get there early—especially if you would like to walk in the parade. The Sea Creature Parade is open to everyone donning a costume, so adorn the likeness of your favorite underwater dweller and join the fun! Personally, I’m hoping at least one parade participant will inject this party with some local flavor and dress as Rhode Island’s most famous sea creature: Cthulhu. Come on, people; make the Ocean State’s own H. P. Lovecraft proud!
Aside from the parade, the festival will showcase some of Rhode Island’s best seafood—so bring your appetite! Just don’t forget to stop by the RIHI Remote Event booth for all your information regarding our new Owens Corning roofing system. It’s never too early to start thinking about replacing your roof before winter, so talk to our team about getting that estimate ASAP. Remember—you can always reach us at 401-739-1001 even if you don’t plan on dressing as a mermaid.
