The Seaside Town of Narragansett
Our team at RIHI The Home Improvement Specialist are lifelong Rhode Islanders, so we know the state as well as, if not better than anyone. One of the crown jewels of this great state is the town of Narragansett. The town is located on a narrow strip of land along the Pettaquamscutt River and the shore of the bay and is comprised of the neighborhoods of Saunderstown, South Ferry, Bonnet Shores, Narragansett Pier & more. Known as a summer vacation hotspot, the town’s population of nearly 17,000 explodes to 35,000 during the summertime.
The town is famous for its historic places and beaches; Narragansett Town Beach, Scarborough State Beach, and Roger Wheeler State beach are some of the most popular and visited beaches in the area. The population of Narragansett is diverse and always changing, with tourists and the University of Rhode Island students both spending parts of the year in town. Homes in Narragansett don’t have it easy though, stormy weather on the coast can bash your home with the wind, rain, and salt that can leave your home’s exterior vulnerable.
