Roofing Eave Protection
Eave protection is important for Roof performance. With the recent winters battering down upon us the use of waterproofing membrane minimizes the occurrence of ice damming and potential leakage of water into your home. Don’t get caught in January and February without your roofs’ eaves protected.
The use of roofing eave protection is standard in every RIHI roofing installation, excluding layover applications.
Determine the longevity of the roof. Premium roofing shingles are thicker and heavier. With RIHI we offer a variety of roofing shingles to satisfy all budget considerations.
RIHI always installs underlayment when the existing roof shingles are removed. Extra protection from wind-driven rain. Use on areas not covered by eave protection.
For efficient water shedding. RIHI roofing installations install drip edge on eaves and rake edges where applicable.
Valleys lead to snow and ice build-up. RIHI roof installation offers protection in such areas, including the base, with a waterproofing membrane.
Waterproofing the roof’s most vulnerable areas is of the utmost importance. These “hot spots” include skylights, vents, chimneys, etc. In circumstances existing flashing could be sufficient and adequate to protect the areas mentioned above. However, if it is determined that new flashing is required, it is an option that RIHI will be most happy to provide to you at a reasonable cost.
Proper roof ventilation reduces the chances of problems such as condensation and premature roof longevity. Be sure to consult with a RIHI roofing consultant regarding your specific ventilation requirements. Professionally installed ventilation will protect your home from hassles such as mold and mildew.
RIHI performs a thorough inspection of the roof deck of your home when removal of the existing roof is required. Decks must be in good condition – dry, clean, flat, smooth and properly nailed. Proper preparation results in long-lasting, beautiful roofs.
